Utilizing Staff Management Tools in Shop Tweak
The "Staff" section in Shop Tweak provides comprehensive tools for effectively managing and coordinating staff members. Administrators can control access, assign roles, manage bookings, and oversee staff performance. Staff members can view their job history and activity logs in their profiles, enhancing transparency and accountability.
Creating New Users
To add a new staff member in Shop Tweak, navigate to the "Staff" section and click on "Manage Staff." Here, you can start the process by selecting the "New User" button at the top right of the screen.
Fill out the necessary details, focusing particularly on these key areas:
Role Selection: Choose the appropriate role for the new user, such as User or Admin, which come with specific permissions and access levels.
Staff Checkbox: Determine if the staff member should be actively assigned to bookings by checking the "Staff" checkbox. Selecting this will set their staff role to "true" in the "Manage Staff" section; leaving it unchecked will keep it set to "false".
Editing Existing Users
To edit a staff member's profile in Shop Tweak, go to the "Staff" section and select the "Manage Staff" tab. Find the profile you want to modify and click the edit button. This will open the editing interface, where you can adjust roles, permissions, and other user details.
Roles and Permissions
Define and manage access levels through predefined roles. Permissions are tailored to ensure staff members have the necessary access to perform their roles without compromising system security or data integrity.
Assigning Staff to Bookings
Access the "Assign" tab in the "Staff" section of the dashboard to efficiently assign staff to specific bookings using the drag-and-drop functionality.
1. Filter Bookings
Use the "Upcoming" and "All" buttons at the top right to filter and display either upcoming or all bookings on the screen.
2. Assign Staff
Active staff members, indicated by the "Staff" checkbox in their profiles, appear on the left side of the screen. Drag and drop a staff member's card onto a booking to assign them.
Use the options menu (three dots) on the top right of each card to access more details. Here you can view the booking page, client information, or archive the booking.
Assigning a staff member to a booking updates the system immediately, displaying their details on the booking page and logging the assignment in the activity log.
3. Adjust Assignments
To change or remove a staff assignment, either drag the staff member's card away from the booking or use the garbage icon to remove them.

Accessing Staff Profiles
Administrators and staff members can view individual profiles to manage details and monitor performance metrics. To access a staff profile, go to the "Staff" section and select "Manage Staff". Click the "View" button on any staff profile listing, or select a staff card at the bottom of the page to open their dedicated profile page.
Managing Staff Profiles: Tracking, Payouts, and Activity Logs
Each staff profile offers a range of tools designed to effectively manage and monitor your team.
1. Performance Tracking and Job Log
Access detailed logs of all tasks completed by a staff member, with options to filter these logs by date for in-depth reviews or payroll calculations.
2. Detailed Booking History
Each staff profile provides extensive details of bookings they've handled, including service status, customer details, appointment dates, job completion times, and pricing, ensuring comprehensive tracking and oversight.
3. Payouts and Financial Tracking
Manage and view the total value of jobs completed and the total number of jobs undertaken by the staff member. Edit and manage payouts, with tools available to add new payouts directly from the staff profile. To learn more, refer to Calculating Payroll.
4. Activity Log and Notes
Access a detailed log of each staff member's activities, notes, and comments, automatically generated from their actions within the Shop Tweak system. This log is unalterable by staff members, ensuring accurate reporting for transparent management.
This log is crucial for maintaining transparency and provides a historical insight into the staff member’s contributions and areas for improvement.
