Categorizing Packages for Vehicle-Based Pricing in Shop Tweak

Shop Tweak enables businesses to tailor their service offerings based on vehicle size. The platform categorizes vehicles into predefined size tiers—extra small, small, medium, large, and extra large—based on criteria such as the number of doors, car type, and passenger capacity. This structure allows for a streamlined and personalized booking experience, ensuring customers receive service packages that best fit their vehicle's specifications.

Pre-Defined Vehicle Size Categories:

Each make and model in the Shop Tweak database is assigned to one of these categories. This categorization is based on detailed vehicle data, ensuring that each category accurately represents the vehicle types included.

  1. Extra Small (XS): Ideal for two-door cars like coupes and smart cars designed to fit only two people. These vehicles require less time and resources, reflecting in lower service costs.

  2. Small (S): Suitable for four-door small sedans or two-door cars that can accommodate 4-5 passengers, offering a balance between compact size and passenger capacity.

  3. Medium (M): Designed for mid-size crossover SUVs, which represent a growing segment in the automotive market.

  4. Large (L): Encompasses full-size SUVs, minivans, and full-size pickup trucks, requiring more extensive detailing services due to their size.

  5. Extra Large (XL): Covers vehicles like cargo vans and heavy-duty pickup trucks, which are often used for commercial purposes and need specialized service packages.

If the vehicle the customer has is not in the database, there is an option in the booking system for them to select a vehicle that's most similar to theirs.

Assigning Service Packages to Vehicle Categories

  1. Navigate to Packages: Access the "Packages" section from your Shop Tweak dashboard and click on the "New Package" button to initiate package creation or click edit to alter an existing one.

  2. Define Package Attributes: For each service package, specify the "Size" and "Price" to align the cost appropriately with the vehicle size.

Implementing Vehicle-Specific Pricing

When customers book a service, Shop Tweak automatically presents the service packages relevant to their vehicle’s size category. This dynamic pricing model ensures that customers see tailored options that reflect the specific needs and characteristics of their vehicle, enhancing the accuracy of quotes and the efficiency of the service provided.
