Booking System
Setting Up the Shop Tweak Booking System to Accept Online Appointments
Configure your online booking system in three easy steps with Shop Tweak. Once complete, you'll then be ready to start accepting online appointments.
Step 1: Configure the Booking System Settings
To customize your booking system settings, access the "Settings" section within the Shop Tweak Dashboard. Here, under "Booking System", you can update crucial elements like your company logo, add navigational links to your website, set your business's operating hours, and schedule days off for holidays or special events.
These adjustments directly influence the booking interface, ensuring that your company's branding and information are accurately displayed for customers when scheduling services online.
For detailed instructions on editing and updating the booking system settings, refer to the Settings Documentation.
Adding and Managing Your URLs in the Booking System
To enhance the online booking interface, businesses can add custom URLs that appear in the top right of the booking system screen. Navigate to "Settings" and then "Booking System" within the Shop Tweak dashboard.
You can add URLs and create corresponding labels for them, such as "Website" or "Contact." This allows customers to easily access these links while on your booking page.
Adding Your Logo
This is managed within the "Settings" and then "Booking System" within the Shop Tweak dashboard. The logo will appear in the top left corner of the booking system, maintaining brand consistency across customer touchpoints.
Adjusting Your Business Hours
Adjust your business hours to manage availability effectively using flexible booking rules within the Shop Tweak dashboard under "Settings" and then "Booking System".
Set your operating hours to reflect the times when you are available to service customers.
Scheduling Closures & Time Off
Additionally, you can add and edit one-off closures or holidays directly in the booking system settings to accommodate special schedules.
Step 2: Set Up Service Packages
The next step in setting up your online booking system involves defining the service packages that customers can select when booking an appointment. Within the Shop Tweak dashboard, navigate to the "Packages" section where you can create new packages or edit existing ones.
For detailed instructions on creating, editing, and categorizing packages, refer to: Packages Documentation.
Step 3: Integrate with Your Website & Social Channels
Seamlessly integrate the Shop Tweak booking system into your business's digital presence across multiple platforms to expand your booking capabilities:
Obtain Booking System URL: Click the "Add New Booking" button in the bottom left of the Shop Tweak Dashboard to access the URL for your booking system.
Embed URL on Your Website: Add this URL to call-to-action (CTA) buttons on your website such "Book Now" or "Get a Quote" to provide a seamless booking experience. When visitors click these buttons, they will be redirected to your booking system to conveniently schedule an appointment.
Social Media Integration: Place booking links on your social media profiles, such as Facebook and Instagram, allowing customers to schedule appointments directly from these platforms.
Google My Business: Utilize "Reserve with Google" to let customers book directly from your Google My Business listing.
How to Add a New Booking
While the system is designed for customers to self-serve, there may be instances where staff need to manually add bookings:
Use the "Add New Booking" button located under the settings section in the dashboard. This takes you directly to the online booking system.
Follow the same steps customers would—select a service package, date, time, and enter customer details.
Confirm all details and complete the booking process, once confirmed the appointment is logged into the system and visible across the dashboard views.
Managing Appointments Scheduled on the Booking System
Each booking made via Shop Tweak's online booking system is automatically synchronized with the dashboard, offering an automated solution to manage appointments, all bookings appear in the Calendar, Map View, and All Bookings list. For further guidance, refer to: Booking Management.
Testing the Booking System
To ensure smooth operation and customer satisfaction, test your booking system by simulating the entire booking process—from selecting packages and entering details to checking business hours and finalizing appointments.
Ensure all service packages are accurately displayed with correct descriptions, pricing, and categorization by testing various scenarios and vehicle types.
